EXPERIENCES

MOMENTS • PLACES • OCCASIONS • DISCOVERY • MEMORIES

Travel is ultimately about experience.

The places we visit matter, but so do the moments that happen within them — arriving somewhere for the first time, discovering an unexpected view, attending a special event, staying in a remarkable hotel or simply sitting somewhere and watching a different part of the world go by.

World Journal documents these experiences as they happen, creating a personal record of journeys, occasions and memories.

EXTRAORDINARY EXPERIENCES

ICONIC PLACES • UNIQUE MOMENTS • ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME

Some experiences become defining moments of a journey.

A night in Monte Carlo, Fashion Week in Paris, travelling along the French Riviera, visiting an internationally recognised landmark or experiencing a city from an entirely new perspective can become memories that remain long after the journey ends.

World Journal captures these moments through photographs, observations and personal reflections.

HOTELS & STAYS

HOTELS • ROOMS • SERVICE • LOCATION • ATMOSPHERE

A hotel can become part of the destination itself.

Beyond the room, there is the location, architecture, interior design, service, atmosphere and the experience of temporarily making somewhere unfamiliar feel like home.

World Journal documents hotels from a traveller's perspective — what worked, what stood out and how the stay contributed to the overall journey.

FOOD & DINING

RESTAURANTS • CAFÉS • TERRACES • LOCAL FLAVOURS

Dining provides some of travel's most memorable experiences.

From breakfast in a neighbourhood café to an evening overlooking the Mediterranean, food creates opportunities to experience local culture while discovering new surroundings.

World Journal explores restaurants, cafés and dining experiences as part of the wider story of a destination.

EVENTS & OCCASIONS

FASHION • RACING • CULTURE • CELEBRATIONS • SPECIAL EVENTS

Certain journeys begin with an occasion.

Fashion Week, race meetings, exhibitions, yacht events and other special occasions provide a reason to travel while opening the door to experiencing the destination around them.

World Journal documents both the event itself and everything surrounding it — preparation, clothing, travel, atmosphere and the experience of being there.

ON THE WATER

YACHTS • SPEEDBOATS • COASTLINES • PORTS • THE SEA

Some destinations are best experienced from the water.

From the harbours of Monaco and Cannes to Saint-Tropez and the Mediterranean coastline, life on the water offers a completely different perspective on travel.

World Journal explores marinas, yachts, coastal journeys and the relationship between the sea, luxury, engineering, design and destination.

GETTING THERE

FLIGHTS • TRAINS • ROAD • TRANSFERS • JOURNEYS

The experience does not always begin at the destination.

Airports, aircraft, railway stations, road journeys and transfers form part of the story of travel. Some are purely practical; others become memorable experiences themselves.

World Journal follows the complete journey — from departure to arrival.

THE EXPERIENCE JOURNAL

THE MOMENTS BETWEEN THE DESTINATIONS

Not every memorable experience needs to be famous, expensive or planned.

Sometimes it is a view from a bus window, an unexpected conversation, walking into an extraordinary building, discovering a quiet street or watching the sun disappear over a city.

The Experience Journal records those moments — the experiences that turn travelling somewhere into remembering somewhere.
